The Essential Oil from the Opoponax Tree derives from its dark and soft resin and is revered for its healing abilities, a panacea for earthly and spiritual evils. Originating in Somalia and Ethiopia, the gum of the tree offers an enveloping and penetrating scent that lingers in the velvety trail. Fall into the arms of Sweet Myrrh, as it is also known for the olfactive resemblance, and inhale its resinous soothing perfume.
Curiosity: Opoponax, like Myrrh, is a fragrant resin produced by thorny shrubs belonging to the Commiphora genus. The name Mirra seems to derive from the Arabic "mur", which means "bitter". While Opoponax is also known as "sweet myrrh".
