The design of the flacons pays tribute to French architecture, with a cap inspired by the glass dome of the Grand Palais. The bottles are made by hand in Normandy by a master glassmaker. David Benedek – Founder of BDK Parfums
David Benedek was born in Paris in 1989 and grew up surrounded by scent. His grandparents opened a perfume shop near the Palais Royal in 1959 and were among the first in France to stock brands like Christian Dior. His grandmother, Édith, shared her love of perfume with him from an early age. By the time he was a child, he was already sketching bottle designs and absorbing the world of fragrance like second nature.
His fascination with scent deepened while studying economics in Beijing and New York. In 2012, he pursued a specialization in cosmetics and perfumery at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris. During his training, he worked closely with raw materials and refined his sense of smell. Through a mentorship at Cinquième Sens, he developed the creative foundation for what would become BDK Parfums: a fragrance house built on imagination, emotion, and a personal connection to scent.
