Prague and its way of life are a constant source of inspiration for Pigmentarium — both the city’s vibrant present and its echoes of the past. The scent Erotikon was born from a scandal in 1929. The now-celebrated film by director Gustav Machatý, EROTIKON, was the first in Czechoslovakia to address the subject of sexuality, shocking the puritan society of its time. A fragrance — one capable of utterly consuming us when worn by someone we love — played its part in the story.

Gourmand
Gourmand fragrances are sweet, tempting and mouthwatering. Just as much we enjoy eating sweets, perfumers are inspired by the addictive character of the almost edible notes. Gourmand is the collective name for sweet delicacies. Think of chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla, coffee, caramelized sugar, bubblegum or licorice, yummmmm.

Tomáš Ric
The first Czech independent perfume house is led by Tomáš Ric, who has been the Pigmentarium's creative director since its establishment in 2018. Brand creation is strongly influenced by the outlook of the young generation on the fundamental artistic direction and lifestyle of the Czech Republic in the first half of the twentieth century. Functionalism, modernity, and avant-garde are interpreted by scents and contemporary means of expression.
