Come by Bogue Profumo is not a fragrance that takes you in a straight line from start to finish. Instead, it leads you astray again and again, down unexpected paths. It opens with a bold burst of cade and bergamot – smoky and sharp – evoking memories of Gardoni’s earlier creations. Soon, the composition shifts into a constantly changing whole, where green in all its forms blends seamlessly with deep, floral accords: the bright freshness of bergamot, the dark edge of ripening fig, the sweet-spiced touch of immortelle, and the creamy warmth of ylang-ylang.
At its heart, a vivid dialogue unfolds between smoky incense, dark tea, and earthy patchouli, with the dry, woody note of cade lingering in the background. Beneath it beats the unmistakable Bogue signature: a rich, resinous foundation of benzoin, labdanum, and tonka bean, softened by vanilla and synthetic musk. A subtle animalic undertone of civet adds warmth and tension, without ever tipping into harshness.
Come is always in motion. Its green facets shift constantly – at times fresh and sparkling, at others animalic and intoxicating – with smoke drifting through like a veil. In the end, what remains is a sensual, green vanilla wrapped in warm, animalic nuances.
