Pyroclasm (Greek for “broken by fire”) by BeauFort London is a fragrance inspired by the immense, untamed power of nature — taking the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland as its starting point. Here, thousands of basalt columns were formed through volcanic eruptions and intense heat. From this natural wonder, Pyroclasm imagines a leap across the sea to the shipyards of the River Clyde, where human hands once forged iron ships under similar pressure and fire.
This scent captures that shared elemental force: fire, strength, and transformation. Notes of rust and black pepper ignite the composition, followed by warm saffron and smoky incense. A mineral accord runs through the fragrance like a spine — cold, stony, almost industrial — evoking newly formed rock and cooled steel. The result is intense, elemental, and uncompromising.
In recognition of its bold composition, Pyroclasm received an Honorable Mention at the 2025 Art & Olfaction Awards.
