Cristiano Canali is an Italian perfumer who found his path to fragrance through science. Like his grandfather, he began his career studying pharmacy, but a trip to India—where he met local sandalwood producers—sparked his fascination with scent. That curiosity led him to the renowned ISIPCA school in Versailles, where he immersed himself in the world of perfumery. Today, he creates fragrances at Argeville in the south of France, collaborating with leading niche brands. Canali describes his style as a seductive play of synergy and contrast, inspired by the complexity of nature. He prefers working with rich, natural ingredients like flowers, beeswax, oud, and ambergris. His perfumes are known for their warmth, depth, and character. Among his most celebrated creations are Bee for Zoologist and Romanza for Masque Milano.
