Francis Kurkdjian was born in Paris in 1969 to Armenian parents. His exceptional sense of smell, creativity and dedication brought him to the very top of the perfume world at a young age. He achieved international recognition at just 24 years old with the creation of Le Mâle for Jean Paul Gaultier.
He later worked as an in-house perfumer for Dior and created numerous iconic fragrances for leading fashion houses, including My Burberry for Burberry. In 2009, together with Marc Chaya, he founded Maison Francis Kurkdjian, giving himself full artistic freedom.
