Captivating and magnetic, Gris Charnel Extrait is inspired by a walk along the quays in Paris, under the silver moon. An image of freedom illustrated by a trilogy between fig, iris and patchouli. Concentrated at 30%, Gris Charnel Extrait is a woody-spicy amber fragrance that pays tribute to its original signature, Gris Charnel. A fragrance with an intoxicating, sensual trail, with notes of Indonesian patchouli and vanilla from Madagascar.

Gris Charnel Extrait reveals the intensity of the original signature to extract a richer and more faceted version. A new creation, where the woody essence of patchouli is invited and brings depth to the sandalwood and tonka bean that reveal themselves more textured and warm. Voluptuous, vanilla underlines this trail with an ambery and smoked roundness. At the top, the freshness and vibrant cardamom combines with the delicacy of a fig with green and fruity accents. A bright opening that illuminates the opulent note of the fragrance.

The colour of each fragrance cap is specific to a collection. The cap was inspired by the glass dome of the Grand Palais, a majestic and historic monument housing the finest exhibitions in Paris.

Note from the perfumer, Mathilde Bijaoui:

"I have a special bond with Gris Charnel. It is for me the quintessential creamy and enveloping notes that I enjoy and love to work with. People often ask me what the perfume I would create for myself would be like. Well, in the end it would be Gris Charnel, without a doubt. Revisiting a perfume that has already found its audience is much more difficult than starting from a blank page. Through this second chapter, I wanted to magnify the sensuality of the original Gris Charnel signature, to sculpt a trail, to be even more magnetic and captivating than ever."

Woody amber

The best of woody scents combined with the warmth of the oriental scent family. Here flowers do not play a leading role, but wood notes dominate. Take sandalwood accompanied by patchouli for an earthly character.

Mathilde Bijaoui

Mathilde Bijaoui is a perfumer at MANE: the first French group and one of the worldwide leaders of the Fragrance and Flavour industry. She was inspired by perfume at a young age during a visit to the Osmothèque. Now, she is known for a number of famous fragrances such as Etat Libre d’Orange’s Tilda Swinton Like This. "It's as if perfume and smells were imposed on me from my early childhood. I was very attracted to smells, I could smell absolutely everything that came in front of me. It could be in the kitchen, objects. My parents would point out that I could smell everything. And in fact from the moment I realized that perfumery was a profession, I went for it.” - Mathilde Bijaoui
