Discover the newest, most intimate fragrance by Pigmentarium so far: Aereo. An atmospheric fragrance inspired by moments of stillness and quiet self-assurance. Ethereal yet grounded, it opens with airy freshness and cool mineral nuances, unfolding into soft warmth, resinous depth and dry woods. The scent feels both expansive and close to the skin at once — like stepping away from the noise of the world into a space of calm, focus and reflection.
What is Aereo?
In the late 16th century, Prague stood at the centre of a shifting intellectual landscape. Under the rule of Rudolf II, Holy Roman Emperor, the city became a meeting point for alchemists, philosophers and early scientists — a place where intuition often preceded proof. Among them was Michael Sendivogius, who described a mysterious substance he called Aereo Nitro: an invisible element present in the air, essential to life, yet capable of extinguishing it. A force that allows fire to exist. His ideas were largely dismissed at the time. Still, he continued — quietly, independently, guided by conviction rather than consensus. Two centuries later, Aereo Nitro would be identified as oxygen.
This moment — poised between solitude and certainty — forms the conceptual foundation of Aereo. It reflects a state of inner calm and intellectual self-sufficiency: a return to one’s own rhythm, removed from the noise of constant validation. A moment of stillness — reading, thinking, drifting — where imagination expands freely, and identity feels unfiltered, instinctive, assured.
In today’s climate of digital saturation, such moments have become increasingly rare — and increasingly necessary.
Aereo, the fragrance
Aereo translates this atmosphere through a composition built on air, warmth and tactility. Cashmeran anchors the structure with a soft, enveloping presence, bringing a comforting, almost cocooning quality, alongside a subtle mineral depth reminiscent of warm earth after rain. Pink pepper introduces a cool, slightly metallic lift, adding an uplifting clarity that moves through the composition like a current of air. Myrrh lends a quiet, resinous gravity, gently connecting the fragrance to the mystical atmosphere of Prague, while dry woods evoke the intimacy of a private study — a space of stillness, reflection and calm.
"Aereo is, for me personally, the most intimate one we have created so far. It emerged from a need for calm. From the desire to step away from the noise of the world for a moment and reconnect with the understanding that our value does not need to be confirmed by others. It is found within — in stillness, focus, integrity, and the ability to remain deeply grounded in oneself." – Tomáš Ric
